The 12-month MAE program has the following two tracks:

1. MAE with Elementary Certification requires 38 semester credits for completion.

Total tuition: $34,200 ($900 per credit)

Tuition is based on a cohort model. The tuition covers the costs of this program only. Costs and courses for endorsement are not included in the cohort price. Students must complete the program with their cohort to remain eligible for cohort pricing.

Additional fees: Technology fee ($250/year), wellness fee ($100/year), a one-time matriculation fee ($200), books and materials for coursework, certification, fingerprinting, etc.

The MAE Alternative Route to Certification (MAE-ARC) has two options. Students can choose to complete both the certification and the degree requirements, or complete the certification portion only.

English Language Learners and Special Education endorsement options represent an additional tuition cost. Students will complete the Summer Endorsements @ PLU Continuing Education sequence in the summer as directed by the Academic Advisor.

The MAE-ARC program has four tracks:

1. MAE-ARC with Elementary Certification. This track requires 36 semester credits for completion. The certification portion is 25 semester credits from summer 2022 to spring 2023. The remaining 9 credits for the MAE degree can be completed within 3 years (by spring 2025).

Total tuition for elementary certification (25 credits): $22,500 ($900 per credit)
Total tuition with MAE degree (36 credits): $30,600 ($900 per credit)

2.  MAE-ARC with Elementary and Special Education Certification. The certification portion is 25 semester credits from summer 2022 to spring 2023, plus 18 credits of Continuing Education coursework for the special education endorsement. The remaining 9 credits for the MAE degree can be completed within 3 years (by spring 2025).

Total tuition for certification program with special education coursework (43 credits): $27,000
Total tuition for certification with the MAE degree (52 credits): $35,100

3. MAE-ARC with Secondary Certification. This track requires 34 semester credits for completion. The certification portion is 23 semester credits from summer 2022 to spring 2023. The remaining 11 credits for the MAE degree can be completed within 3 years (by spring 2025).

Total tuition for certification with MAE degree (34 credits): $30,600 ($900 per credit)
