Summer 2021 Cohort

The 2021-2022, 12-month MAE program is either 36 semester hours (secondary endorsements) or 38 semester hours (elementary endorsement) from summer 2021 through summer 2022 at a program price of $895 per semester hour.

The option to complete a thesis for pass/fail credit will add 4 additional credits a cost of $895 per credit.

Tuition is based on a cohort model.  The tuition covers the costs of this program only. Costs/courses for endorsements are not included in the cohort price.  Students must complete the program with their cohort to remain eligible for cohort pricing.

Additional fees: technology fee ($250/year), wellness fee ($100/year), a one-time matriculation fee ($200), edTPA testing fee ($300), books and materials for coursework, certification, fingerprinting, state-mandated assessments, placement file, and thesis binding, etc.

Total tuition for elementary certification: $34,010
Total tuition for secondary certification: $32,220
Tuition for each semester credit: $895

MAE with Elementary Certification

The 2021-2025, Alternative Routes MAE with Elementary Certification is 38 semester hours. The certificate portion of the MAE-ARC is 25 semester hours from summer 2021 to spring 2022. After completion of the certificate portion of the MAE-ARC, students have 3 years to complete the remaining 13 credits required of the MAE degree by Spring 2025.

Total tuition w/MAE (38 credits): $34,010
Tuition for each semester credit: $895

MAE with Secondary Certification

The 2021-2025, Alternative Routes MAE with Secondary Certification is 36 semester hours. The certificate portion of the MAE-ARC is 19 semester hours from summer 2021 to spring 2022. After completion of the certificate portion of the MAE-ARC, students have 3 years to complete the remaining 17 credits required of the MAE degree by Spring 2025.

Total tuition for secondary certification (19 credits): $17,005
Total tuition for certification plus MAE (36 credits): $32,220
Tuition for each semester credit: $895

English Language Learners and Special Education endorsement options represent an additional tuition cost. Students will complete the Summer Endorsements @ PLU Continuing Education sequence in the summer as directed by the Academic Advisor.
