Program Cost

The 2019-2020, 12-month MAE program is either 36 semester hours (secondary endorsements) or 38 semester hours (elementary endorsement) from summer 2019 through summer 2020 at a program price of $875 per semester hour. An additional 4 credits is required if choosing the thesis option.

Tuition is based on a cohort model.  The tuition covers the costs of this program only. Costs/courses for endorsements are not included in the cohort price.  Students must complete the program with their cohort to remain eligible for cohort pricing.

Additional fees may include: State-mandated Assessments, Certification Fee, Fingerprinting, Graduation Fee, Placement File, Thesis Binding, etc.

The 2019-2023, Alternative Routes MAE is either 36 semester hours (Secondary Certification) or 38 semester hours (elementary certification).

The Secondary certificate portion of the MAE-ARC is 19 semester hours from summer 2019 to spring 2020. Students can choose to complete the certification portion only, or choose to to complete the remaining 17 credits in three years to earn the MAE degree by Spring 2023.

Total program cost for Secondary certification: $16,150 or $850 per semester hour
Total program cost for Secondary certification with MAE: $30,600 or $850 per semester hour

The Elementary certificate portion of the MAE-ARC is 25 semester hours from summer 2019 to spring 2020. Students can choose to complete the certification portion only, or choose to to complete the remaining 13 credits in three years to earn the MAE degree by Spring 2023.

Total cost for Elementary certification (25 credits): $21,250 ($850 per credit)
Total program cost for Elementary certification with MAE (38 credits): $32,300 ($850 per credit)

The option to complete a thesis for pass/fail credit will add 4 additional credits to the degree.
