A close-knit community and plenty of perks come with Stuen Hall
This hall may be the smallest on the PLU campus, but that doesn't bother Cori Jo Jahnsen one bit.
"I'm not sure if this hall was my first choice," said Jahnsen, now a junior, "but I love the family atmosphere. I've really made some good friends here, and like, my roommate now, we'll be friends forever."
The residents enjoy being part of a close-knit community. They're also just a stone's throw away from some indispensable resources, such as the library and the Hauge Administration building (home to an espresso cart and the Student Services Center, among other things).
Every year, the Stuen community forms a family within themselves, constantly striving to rank high in the all-campus events. This is home to some of the best-known events on campus, including the Iron Chef, Stuen Barbeque, and a haunted basement.
"The barbeque signfies that it's the end of the school year," Jahnsen said. "It says that school is over, and if everything is still a bit stressful, well, have some burgers."
Stuen is also the center or the Social Action and Leadership (SAL) Community. Located on the second floor, SAL is for students who have a strong desire to develop their leadership skills and utilize these skills to be social change agents.
