Campus Life partners with several campus offices to ensure that students are safe and supported while living on campus. The resources listed below are just a few that Campus Life offers. Student Health and Safety
PLU makes students health and safety a priority at PLU. We pride ourselves on our personal touch and high level of care for our students. Our campus partners offer services that show our care for the whole student, not just their academics.
Here are a few resources that you might find handy during your time with us.
PLU has developed a complete emergency response structure which will be activated in any situation which cannot be handled in a normal and customary manner. Residential Life is fortunate to have capable, trained staff living in each residence hall who will be able to respond on short notice. However, any event falling into the emergency category will likely require the assistance and cooperation of many persons and offices. Every residential student has a responsibility to prepare for potential emergencies.

As of October 2024, Campus Life will no longer offer storage to students. Students leaving the university at the end of any academic term*, will not have the option to store items on campus in residence hall spaces. Space is at a premium on campus and the need to use these spaces in different ways has elevated. The increasing demographic shift of hyper local students attending PLU diminishes the need to offer storage on campus for student items. Additional challenges, including the liability of storing expensive items, as well as unapproved items found in storage, resulting in a surge of bed bug issues, has become problematic.
There are multiple storage companies in close proximity to the university if you want to use their services. Campus Life has compiled a list of storage companies within just a few miles of the university. Several of these companies are offering specials for PLU students only as long as you show your PLU ID at the time of booking.
