For requests from PLU students/faculty/staff or Region 1 ELCA Synod staff that cannot be handled remotely, advanced appointments for onsite research are required. Only one researcher will be allowed in the reading room at a time and masks are required for the duration of the appointment. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Region 1 Archives serves as the repository for the permanent records of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Scandinavian Immigrant Experience Collection

The Scandinavian Immigrant Experience (SIE) Collection preserves historical materials relating to immigrants to the Pacific Northwest from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
