Biography:

Vidya received her doctorate in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from State University of New York at Buffalo. She has over fifteen years experience teaching at the preschool, elementary and middle school levels, and over eleven years teaching in higher education. Dr. Thirumurthy teaches in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Education. Her research interests include: Culture and Cognition, Culture and Play, Social Justice in Education and Computer use in Schools in India.
