Biography

I am a proud PLU alum twice over! In 2017 I graduated with my Bachelors in Kinesiology and continued on into the ELMSN program shortly after. I obtained my nursing license in 2018 and graduated with my MSN with high honors in 2019. I enjoy using my background knowledge of exercise science as it pertains to prevention education and recovery, specifically in cardiac patient population.

Currently I work full time at the PULSE Heart Institute as an assistant nurse manager. I find value in remaining in close connection with floor staff while also peeking into the higher levels of health care systems. During my time at PULSE I have served primarily as a mentor for new RN grads as well as RN residents. I find it very rewarding to watch the growth in our young nurses.

In my free time I enjoy kayaking, golfing, hiking and simply enjoying the great outdoors. When not outside, you can find me starting a new crafting project, binging the newest crime show or playing with my dog Riley.
