Transfer Scholarship Opportunities
PLU has a long-standing tradition of welcoming transfer students to campus. Additionally the University recognizes the academic accomplishments of transfer students working toward their first bachelor's degree with a number of merit scholarships. Please see the following scholarship programs and consider applying today.
PLU Provost Transfer Scholarships - $17,000
Eligibility: All full-time transfer applicants (including international students) working toward their first bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.5 cumulative college-level transferable GPA
Amount: $17,000 per year (renewable for undergraduate study only toward a first bachelor's degree)
Number: 40 scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and need. Scholarships will be awarded to students in each of the seven academic divisions at PLU. Academic divisions include Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Business, Education and Movement Studies, Fine Arts and Communications, and Nursing.
Awarding: Deadline for students entering Fall Semester is March 1 and November 1 for students entering Spring Semester. Provost scholarships will replace all other PLU merit based aid.

PLU Saugen Business Scholarships for Transfer Students - $17,000
Eligibility: Transfer applicants intending to major in Business with a minimum 3.3 cumulative college-level transferable GPA and progress toward a Direct Transfer Associates (DTA) degree to be completed before enrolling at PLU.
Amount: $17,000 per year *for those students enrolled in PLU's Evening BBA program, the Saugen Scholarship will be pro-rated on the basis of cohort tuition rates
Number: 5 scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Awarding: Deadline for students entering Fall Semester is March 12. Saugen Business Scholarships will replace all other PLU merit based aid.

Academic Merit Awards - $10,000-$14,000
Eligibility: All full-time transfer applicants are considered for Academic Merit Awards.
Amount: Awards range in value between $10,000 and $14,000 (renewable for undergraduate study only).
Number: All full-time transfer applicants are considered for Academic Merit Awards.
Awarding: Students are notified of their Academic Merit Awards via the Financial Aid package.
Application: Students must complete the PLU application for admission. No other application is required.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships - $1,000
Eligibility: All transfer students who are active members of Phi Theta Kappa at the time of application.
Amount: $1,000 per year renewable for undergraduate study only (stackable with all merit scholarships except Provost Award)
Number: Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Awarding: Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships may be awarded in addition to an Academic Merit Awards.
Application: Students must indicate PTK membership on the PLU application for admission. No other application is required.
