Basic Steps
- Research your financial aid options
Students are usually eligible for several different types of aid, some of which have to be repaid; some do not. We are happy to help you research the best combination of scholarships, grants and loans available to you and your family – many of which you may never have heard of. You can be sure to take advantage of all PLU has to offer. - Apply for aid
Start by filling out the online FAFSA– the method the federal government uses to determine how much you and your family can afford to contribute to your education. Once you have been admitted to PLU, we will begin to put together a financial aid “package” of funds that depend on a number of factors, including your enrollment status, the funds available at the time you applied, and the amount of your financial need. - Accept your offer
Financial aid awards are sent out beginning in February, in the order in which applications are received. We think you’ll like what you see. From there, validate your offer of financial aid by signing and returning your PLU Offer of Financial Aid.
