Mission Statement

As demonstrated by the PLU mission statement Educating for Lives of Thoughtful Inquiry, Leadership, Service, and Care, service is a key part of Pacific Lutheran University's goal. Taking this to heart, many professors are beginning to incorporate service learning in their curriculum. This allows students to experience the world through service and connect it to their academic studies. Aside from class requirements, however, many students seek volunteering opportunities on a personal basis simply to enhance their lives and the lives of others.
