You will be expected to obey the rules in the agreement or risk being expelled from the program.
As an ABC Program student, there are some additional policies that apply to you. Most of these are based on the agreement PLU has made with SFTVC, such as the refund policy. Please review them carefully and let us know if you have any questions.
Visa Application & Interview Resources
The first step in your journey to PLU is to get your visa request approved. Below is information you need for that process and some resources to help you through it successfully.
With your DS-2019, you may now start your process to apply for a J-1 exchange visitor visa.
Each U.S. embassy and U.S. consulate sets its own interview policies and procedures regarding visas—consult with your local U.S. embassy and consulate offices for specific instructions.
Plan ahead! Keep in mind that June, July and August are the busiest months in most consular sections, and interview appointments are the most difficult to get during that period.
If you are successful at the interview and granted a J-1 visa, you should be able to receive your visa within the wait time set by the U.S. Embassy. Check the regular visa wait time here.
每个美国大使馆和美国领事馆都有自己关于面签的政策和程序 – 请向当地美国大使馆和领事馆咨询具体的事宜。
3. Pay the visa application fee as instructed on your local U.S. embassy or consulate’s web site
4. Make an appointment for a visa interview at local U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country
