Dr. Ufuk Ince specializes in financial derivatives and investments and has taught and researched in these topics at various universities in the Puget Sound region. His academic credentials include a Ph.D in finance, MS in finance, and an MBA degree. Dr. Ince is a CFA charter holder and Registered Investment Advisor in the state of Washington. He is the Chief Investment Officer at a boutique wealth management firm that specializes in enhanced passive strategies. His scholarship focuses on financial risk management, real options, and valuation of seismic retrofit investments. His recent publications appeared in Managerial Finance, Journal of Economics and Finance, Journal of Derivatives and Hedge Funds, and Corporate Finance Review. He is the recipient of several National Science Foundation grants on financial modeling of seismic mitigation investments. He is also a fellow of the "Next Generation of Hazard Researchers," another NSF-funded initiative. He is fluent in Turkish and German and is now learning to converse in Russian. Dr. Ince is a trustee and board member at the CFA Society of Seattle, a steering committee member of the PRMIA Seattle Chapter, a board member at a local start-up company, and member of the American Finance Association, the CFA Institute, and Financial Management Association.
