PLU’s 2012 United Way campaign

LIVE UNITED and participate in PLU’s United Way campaign, which helps unify efforts to break down challenging social and economic barriers, strengthen vital community bonds and provide solutions to our community’s most pressing needs.

Find out how to participate at www.plu.edu/human-resources.

“Eighty-five percent of what you give goes directly to your designated 501©(3). And, without designation, your contributions are allocated to our area’s most urgent needs,” said Thomas W. Krise, PLU president.

United Way of America is a non-profit organization that works with more than 1,200 local United Way offices throughout the country in a coalition of charitable organizations to pool efforts in fundraising and support.

“I LIVE UNITED by working with and donating through my workplace,” said Rick Eastman, co-campaign coordinator. “The PLU community is committed to the belief that we can make a difference by participating in strong, effective, life-changing charities such as United Way.”

Pledges this year can be made through United Way’s secure campaign website on eWay using a provided campaign code, username and password. Donations can be given as a one-time gift or donated through payroll deductions (deductions will begin January 2013).

The campaign runs through November.
