Biography

Qin Zhang is a tenured Associate Professor of Marketing and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses such as Big Data and Digital Analytics, Advanced Research Methods, Qualitative Marketing Research, Marketing Analytics and Principles of Marketing. She also supervises student research projects. She earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis and B.S. in International Finance from Tsinghua University in China. Prior to joining PLU, Dr. Zhang taught both undergraduates and MBAs, and supervised Ph.D. theses at University of Texas at Dallas and University of Iowa. Dr. Zhang is a quantitative modeler and her research areas include retailing, social networks, basket data analysis, database marketing, dynamic choice modeling and Promotions. Her research has been published in premier marketing journals such as Journal of Marketing ResearchJournal of RetailingInternational Journal of Research in Marketing, Marketing Intelligence and Planning, and Review of Marketing Science.
