Biography
Andrew grew up on the Oregon Coast in Astoria before attending Willamette University for his undergraduate studies and then Oregon State University – Cascades for his graduate studies. Before joining Pacific Lutheran University, Andrew got his start in Student Leadership and Student Affairs, managing several clubs and participating in student organizations, and served as a Resident Assistant, Teaching Assistant, and several other student leadership positions at his previous institutions.
Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at a young age, Andrew has been a lifelong advocate for people with disabilities. He has been a strong campus advocate at his alma maters,’ in addition to working in the Oregon State Senate Majority Whip’s office as her Disability Policy and Research Aide, serving on the City of Bend Accessibility Advisory Committee, and serving on the Oregon Governor’s Commission on Disabilities.
When not at work, Andrew makes plenty of time for his cat, Lucy, works on ceramics projects, constantly finds new recipes to cook, and loves to unwind with video games.
