Diversity & Inclusion Strategic Plan & Timeline

“Per the charge of PLU’s President’s Council, the Assistant Vice President of Diversity, Justice and Sustainability and the Dean of Inclusive Excellence are working across the university to create a Diversity and Inclusion Strategic Plan.

To that end, they have identified the following four objectives:

  • Climate
  • Access, recruitment, and retention
  • Academic programs and curriculum
  • Institutional vitality and viability

Diversity Deep Dive:

Advice, Farewells, Sunset

Each objective will contain 3-4 goals as well as clear strategies and a timeline to achieve these goals. The goals will be collectively determined by the divisions according to their own unit’s strategic plan. Members of the University Diversity Committee will be assigned to assist in the achievement and measurement of these goals, per their expertise and interests.

This 3-5 year plan will be finalized and shared in Spring 2020, with work on achieving the plan’s objectives commencing in Fall 2020.
