PLU 50th Reunion for the Class of 1973
This year marks 50 years since we graduated from PLU. Our fiftieth reunion celebration will be on campus Friday, October 6 through Sunday, October 8, 2023. We have a fantastic line-up of events that will give you many opportunities to reconnect, reminisce, and create new memories. We hope you can join us.
Here are a few highlights:
Friday, October 6
12:30 – 2 pm – Panel discussion on vocations that promote human and ecological flourishing, led by four of our classmates. Open to alumni, current students, faculty, and staff. Regency Room in Anderson University Center (AUC)
2:30 – 4:30 pm – Informal Gathering at Farrelli’s in the PLU Room
5:30 – 8:30 pm – 50th Reunion, the key event for everyone to reconnect and reminisce. At the dinner there will be a slideshow and a display of memorabilia from our time at PLU, including yearbooks, photographs, and other keepsakes. Enjoy appetizers and drinks, followed by dinner. If you have personal college photos you would like to submit for the slideshow, please send them to alumni@plu.edu. Business casual (suits not required). Scandinavian Cultural Center in AUC
Saturday, October 7
1 – 4 pm – Football Game vs Pacific University at Spark’s Stadium. Sit with your classmates and cheer on the Lutes!
2 – 3 pm – Walking Tour of campus highlighting new buildings led by Samuel Torvend. Meet at the Clock Tower.
5:30 – 7 pm – Music Revue “Off Broadway” Karen Hille Phillips, Eastvold Stage
7 – 9 pm – PLU on Tap, featuring Lute produced wine, beer and cider, in Chris Knutzen Room in AUC.
Sunday, October 8
10 – 11:15 am – Sunday Worship at Trinity Lutheran Church
11:30 – 1:00 pm – The Golden Club Brunch for all alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Welcome to the Club! This will be one last opportunity to connect with classmates before saying goodbye. President Allan Belton will give some campus updates and there will be a brief Q & A. Trinity Lutheran Church, Thompson Hall. Free event but registration required.
