PLU 50th Reunion for the Class of 1976
Can you believe it’s been 50 years since you graduated from Pacific Lutheran University? Plenty of time to mature a bit, build careers, raise families, lose your student ID, find your AARP card and develop stiff joints. We’re thrilled to invite you back to campus for a Half Century (!) Class Reunion on Friday, October 9, 2026. It’ll be a day of reconnecting with classmates you may not have seen since bell bottoms and ultra-short skirts were in style… the first time.
Whether you spent your college years in Tingelstad, Harstad, or Stuen….in practice rooms, study groups, science labs, Mortvedt, art barn … in the gym or on the golf course, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to come back and celebrate with the people who shared that time of life. Perhaps you can even convince others? Registration is open. Dust off your SAGA (you know, yearbook), practice your handshake and hug and get ready to laugh and connect. Oh yes, we’ll have name tags just in case it’s helpful.
A free limited edition PLU t-shirt will be given
to everyone who registers for the event!

From 5:15pm – 5:45pm, we are livestreaming part of the event to include the welcome, blessing, remembrance of deceased classmates and total funds raised for the Endowed Scholarship Gift from the Class of 1976.
Reunion Events
Friday, October 9
- Class of 1976 Campus Tour: Join your classmates for a tour of campus. Some things have probably changed! 3:30-4:30 p.m. Meet by the Clock Tower outside the Anderson University Center (AUC)
- 50th Reunion: Join your classmates for an evening to reunite and reminisce as we celebrate 50+ years since being at PLU. Thanks to the generosity of a classmate, there is no charge for this event, but registration is required.
5-8 p.m. Scandinavian Cultural Center, AUC
Saturday, October 10
- Golden Club Brunch: Enjoy a complimentary brunch for alumni in the class of 1976 and earlier. President Allan Belton will join to welcome you and share campus updates. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required. 9:30-11 a.m. in Regency Room, (AUC)
- Football game: Wear your black and gold and cheer on the Lutes as they take on cross-town rivals, the UPS Loggers! 1-4 p.m., Sparks Stadium
- A Musical Revue: 1960s & 1970s
An evening of songs performed by PLU’s brightest talents! 5 p.m., Karen Hille Phillips Center for Performing Arts (formerly known as Eastvold!) - Murder Mystery Theater: Death by Disco
Boogie back to the 1970s for a night of glitter, glamour and deadly secrets at Studio 45, the hottest disco in town! Dress to impress! Heavy apps and a cash bar. 6:30-9 p.m., Chris Knutzen, AUC $30
