PLU 50th Reunion for the Class of 1976
Can you believe it’s been 50 years since you graduated from Pacific Lutheran University? Plenty of time to mature a bit, build careers, raise families, lose your student ID, find your AARP card and develop stiff joints. We’re thrilled to invite you back to campus for a Half Century (!) Class Reunion on Friday, October 9, 2026. It’ll be a day of reconnecting with classmates you may not have seen since bell bottoms and ultra-short skirts were in style… the first time.
Whether you spent your college years in Tingelstad, Harstad, or Stuen….in practice rooms, study groups, science labs, Mortvedt, art barn … in the gym or on the golf course, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to come back and celebrate with the people who shared that time of life. Perhaps you can even convince others? Registration opens in July. Until then, dust off your SAGA (you know, yearbook), practice your handshake and hug and get ready to laugh and connect. Oh yes, we’ll have name tags just in case it’s helpful.
The committee members will reach out to classmates by email and/or phone but there are a lot of people in the class! Please reach out to your circle of friends to invite them. We want to connect with everyone! If you haven’t heard from someone, we might not have your contact information. Friday, October 9
- Class of 1976 Campus Tour: Join your classmates to get a tour of campus. Some things have probably changed!
3:30-4:30 p.m. Meet by the Clock Tower outside the Anderson University Center (AUC) - 50th Reunion: Join your classmates as we celebrate your 50th reunion since graduating from PLU for an evening to reunite and reminisce. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, there is no charge for this event, but registration is required.
5-8 p.m. Scandinavian Cultural Center, AUC
Saturday, October 10
- Golden Club Brunch: Enjoy a complimentary brunch for alumni in the class of 1976 and earlier. President Allan Belton will be joining to connect and offer campus updates. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required.
9:30-11 a.m. in Regency Room, (AUC) - Football game: Wear your black and gold and cheer on the Lutes as they take on UPS!
1-4 p.m., Sparks Stadium - A Musical Revue: 1950s & 1960s
An evening of songs performed by PLU’s brightest talents!
5-6:15 p.m., Karen Hille Phillips Center for Performing Arts (formerly known as Eastvold!) - Murder Mystery Theater: Death by Disco
Boogie back to the 1970s for a night of glitter, glamour and deadly secrets at Studio 45, the hottest disco in town! An interactive murder mystery where the drama is high, the suspects are shady and the final reveal is anything but predictable. Dress to impress! Heavy apps and a cash bar.
