At the Couple and Family Therapy Center (CFTC), we offer affordable, high-quality therapy to children, individuals, couples, and families.

Care at the CFTC is based on a systemic approach that addresses the concerns people bring into therapy within the context of their relationships. We encourage people to include family members or significant others in therapy in order to gather as much information as possible about the difficulties you’re facing, and to create a supportive context for lasting change.

We offer therapy for people experiencing a wide range of concerns, including family challenges, parenting issues, depression, anxiety, divorce, trauma, communication problems, sex and sexuality concerns, grief and loss, religious and spiritual struggles, and couple/relationship issues.

Our therapists are trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Strategic and Structural Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. In addition, all of our therapists strive to be culturally and contextually sensitive so that you feel seen and valued in your unique experience.

About Our Therapists

All therapists at the CFTC have bachelor’s degrees and are in the final year of their graduate program in Marriage and Family Therapy here at Pacific Lutheran University. You can read about our students’ learning outcomes here.

The faculty who supervise students are all Washington licensed MFT practitioners, with additional credentials as clinical supervisors.

Please note: We endeavor to match our clients with the therapist most aligned with their preferences, but this cannot be guaranteed.
