New Student Onboarding

Pacific Lutheran University supports new students through a coordinated set of programs designed to ease the transition to college life. LUTE Welcome kicks things off with orientation events that introduce incoming students to campus and community, while the First Year Experience Program provides ongoing support for students’ academic and social integration throughout their first year. At the center of this transition is PLUS 100, a course specifically designed for first-year students that affirms their past experiences and helps them navigate the shift to university life through topics like vocation, liberal arts, metacognition, campus resources, and professional communication.
