University owned computers are repaired as needed through the Help Desk. Funding for repairs is typically covered when the computer is under warranty. When the warranty expires, repairs are often still made but may be funded by individual departments if sufficient funds are not available. The Help Desk provides limited troubleshooting for software problems on personally owned computers. Hardware related problems can be diagnosed, but are often referred back to the vendor or another repair shop. Availability of this service is limited by space and time available. Individuals with computers that are still covered under warranty should first contact the vendor before having the Help Desk work on any hardware-related problems.
