The Department of Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce four to six SURF (summer undergraduate research fellowship) positions open to students from underrepresented groups and/or female applicants in the STEM disciplines. This program is in part supported by the Office of Naval Research. The applicant must be a chemistry or closely related major; a US citizen or permanent resident.

The program runs from May 30th through August 4th, 2023. The stipend awarded will be $430/week for 10 weeks for a total stipend of $4,300. The student will be provided free housing on the Pitt campus.

Applicants are required to attach their cover letter, official or unofficial transcript, and select four research groups in which they are interested.
