We are glad that you are interested in learning more about working in Campus Life at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU)! Campus Life is currently hiring for several Community Director positions that are integral to supporting student success at PLU. About PLU & Campus Life

Campus Life is a new departmental model integrates the traditional work of Student Engagement and Residential Life to create a more cohesive, intentional, and holistic student experience while enhancing student learning, engagement and success at PLU. Campus Life is situated within Student Life, a Division that strives for improved care, learning and service to students through increased synergies and efficiencies. The work of Community Directors transcends a single functional area of housing/residential life and provides the opportunity to engage with a variety of other functional areas, including: New Student Orientation, Student Activities, Clubs & Organizations, Leadership Programs, Commuter Student Programs, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

Community Director (CD) Position – Two Positions Available

CDs collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to create and manage purposeful and dynamic learning environments in the residence halls and across campus.  They have a broad knowledge of student development theories and implement these theories into daily practice.  Finally, CDs are reflective educators who are able to communicate with diverse individuals and communities. The CD position is a 40-hour/week, non-exempt (i.e., hourly) position. The CDs report to the Associate Directors for Campus Life.
