Biography
Originally from Michigan, but have lived on the east/west coasts of the US. Experience spans over 45 years in academic, research, acute, and community health settings. Previously taught nursing at three universities and worked on health initiatives at the local, state, and national level. Most recent experience was managing a care transition and readmission reduction program, collaborating with an acute hospital and a hospice/palliative care agency. Received the first “Takes a Village” award from Michigan Department of Community Health for coordination of an adolescent screening project with CDC. Have presented at numerous national community health conferences. My husband and I are blessed to have 3 married sons, 3 bonus daughters, and 3 grandchildren. In 2022 moved to Gig Harbor, Washington to be closer to family and am enjoying living in the PNW and returning to academia.
