Artistic Achievement Awards
Artistic Achievement Awards and limited endowed scholarships are offered in renewable amounts ranging up to $7,500 per year and are in addition to academic merit awards. Students may apply in multiple areas.
To be considered for an Artistic Achievement Award for the 2021-22 academic year, please complete both an admission application to PLU as well as a scholarship award form. You DO NOT have to be admitted to PLU to apply for an award. Applications for the 2021-22 academic year are due February 19, 2021, and all deadlines are absolute.
Dance at Pacific Lutheran University provides opportunities in performance, choreography, and dance technique for both dancers and those enrolled in our Musical Theatre program. We have two companies for dance performance: Dance Ensemble and Dance Team.
Applications for 2021-22 will open in August or September 2020; applications are due February 19, 2021. Auditions and interviews for Dance Artistic Achievement Awards will take place Saturday, February 27, 2021.
Theatre at Pacific Lutheran University provides many artistic and technical opportunities through our nine to ten annual productions. The program is housed in the Karen Hille Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, which includes our Studio Theater, Eastvold Stage, and state-of-the-art scenic, costume and lighting shops. Artistic Achievement Awards are given in the three distinct areas that mirror our BFA degrees: Musical Theatre, Acting/Directing and Design/Technical.
Applications for 2021-22 will be open in August or September 2020.
Early Auditions for Theatre: Applications are due January 15, 2021, with auditions held January 23, 2021.
Regular Auditions for Theatre: Applications are due February 19, 2021 with auditions held Friday and Saturday, February 21-22, 2020.
