Congratulations 2020 President’s Scholars

You and your peers were selected from over 500 highly qualified applicants.  We commend you for your scholarship, leadership, and school and community service, and look forward to the many contributions you will make to the PLU community.

As a PLU President’s Scholar, you will receive a $33,000 scholarship per year.*

*Please note that any Presidential Scholarship replaces the lower PLU academic scholarship you may have already been awarded.

You also have the opportunity to visit the PLU campus February 21 & 22 to interview for the $38,000 per year Harstad Founder’s Scholarships and the full tuition Regents’ Scholarships. Friday night includes a reception to celebrate your accomplishments, opportunities to meet our academic deans and other campus representatives, and an option to stay overnight on campus with a current student. Interviews for the Harstad Founder’s and Regents’ Scholarships take place on Saturday. Click here to see the current schedule for the weekend.

Below the following list of this year’s President’s Scholars, you’ll find links to programs in which scholars participate, as well as further resources.

We look forward to seeing you at the Presidential Scholarships Weekend.

International Honors Program

IHON is for students who have an interest in pursuing an honors program with a focus on contemporary global issues through a multidisciplinary lens. IHON fits any major, and offers an option to study away at Oxford. Apply by February 15.

There are over forty different majors and fifty minors to choose from at PLU, in the Divisions of Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences, and Schools of Arts and Communication, Business, Education and Kinesiology, and Nursing, as well as Interdisciplinary Programs.

Be a Lute

Is PLU your first choice? You can commit to PLU by submitting a $200 Enrollment Deposit. This deposit secures your place in the incoming class, and you can also put in your residence hall application and request.
