Tamar Brown El

Tamar Brown El is the new Grants and Compliance Specialist at Pacific Lutheran University. A Tacoma native with a Master’s in Forensic Accounting, she brings a strong background in nonprofit finance, regulatory compliance, and grant management. Before joining PLU, Tamar founded Quarter Nickel Dime Accounting & Tax Services and served as Program Coordinator for Girls Hearts on Fire. She is known for her collaborative approach and her ability to translate complex regulatory standards into clear, actionable systems. Tamar is passionate about using her expertise to support the university’s mission and impact.
