What is a Capstone?

The Capstone project, an element of the General Education program at PLU, is a central and culminating experience for undergraduates. Capstone seminars serve as an introduction to research and creative projects.

The Capstone is a substantial project, paper, practicum, or internship that culminates and advances the program of an academic major. The end product must be presented to an open audience and critically evaluated by faculty in the student’s field.

Capstone Presentations are ongoing throughout the academic year. Presentation information may be found on Departmental or College pages.
