Getting Involved at PLU

Multicultural Night Event 2009

A fun event full of cultural interactive activities which was hosted by Diversity Center

At PLU, we take student involvement seriously.  Take a look around you—everywhere you look there are programs happening, clubs meeting, discussion being had.  The meaningful intersection of classroom and life is what the college experience is about!  Now that you’re here, we think that there are a few clubs, organizations, and activities that you’d be interested in as an international student.

United Students Association (USA)

USA’s mission is to promote and encourage the global connections within and outside the PLU community, and to encourage interactions between international and domestic students for cultural and social exchange. Come to our activities or bi-weekly meetings! Contact the ISS staff for more information.

Clubs and Organizations
There are 82 student clubs on campus! Check them all out here or learn how to start a new one.

ASPLU
Associated Students of Pacific Lutheran University is the governing body of students at PLU. Join their events or become a ASPLU leader!

Center for Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability

The Center for Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability sponsors some of the most exciting events on campus. The Center normally has 3-4 student leader positions called Diversity Advocates. Each Advocate has a special focus and one of them is called the Diversity Advocate for International Programs. This Diversity Advocate’s job is to help you, the international student, to feel welcome in the Center space, as well as setting up programs that tailor to your needs and desires as an international student.  Have ideas?  Want to share your culture with the rest of the PLU campus?  Find your International Diversity Advocate and put them to work!
