Registration is now open for Student Lobby Day on February 10, 2026.

Join your fellow students on the bus to go to Olympia, WA, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, to advocate directly to state legislators!

This is a critical opportunity to defend essential financial aid programs, including the College Bound Scholarship and the Washington College Grant. By participating, you will help secure the future of financial access for current and prospective PLU students.

Important Registration Notice

  • Limited Space: Submitting this form expresses your interest in attending and joining the delegation. It does not guarantee a seat on the bus.
  • Confirmation: Due to limited capacity, we will be confirming attendance. You will be notified whether you have a reserved spot no later than the first week of January 2026.

We look forward to advocating with you! If you have any questions, please email studentvoice@plu.edu.

Speak Up For Your Future: My Voice Can Protect Student Aid

Want to Get Involved?

Our goal is to protect student access to higher education. By sharing your PLU story, you can help us stand up for all students.

  • Sign up using the form below to get updates about student advocacy efforts during this academic year.

The big deal? The Washington College Bound Scholarship is a game-changer for so many PLU students—covering full tuition and making college possible. PLU has stepped up to welcome more of these students than almost any other private university in the state.

But now, state-level funding cuts are putting all of that at risk. Without restored funding, students could lose up to $6,500 a year. That’s a direct hit to their education and our community.

Your Story is Your Power: Here’s How to Use It

Your voice is critical to protecting financial aid. Legislators need to hear the real, personal stories of how these cuts affect Lutes!

You have two ways to share your story:

  1. Email Us: Contact the Student Fellows at studentvoice@plu.edu to schedule a meeting and share your experience.
  2. Join the Workshop: Attend our Storytelling Workshop on Nov 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. to learn how to craft your powerful PLU story—the single most effective way to protect state financial aid.

Attend an Event

We’ve lined up several events this semester to help you understand policy and make a real impact. It’s time to mark your calendars and learn how to fight for your financial aid!

  • Election Day, Nov 4: Stop by from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at our table at the AUC. We will be handing out stickers, and you can sign up for Lobby Day!
  • Professional Storytelling Workshop: Learn how to create and share your PLU story on Nov 6 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Xaiver 201! This workshop can be used for career development and preparation for Lobby Day.
  • Legislative Engagement Panel: On Nov 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in Xavier 201, you can get firsthand experience engaging with legislators and ensuring your voice is heard.
  • PLU Lobby Day (Feb 10, 2026) in Olympia: Put your new skills to the ultimate test. You’ll directly engage with state legislators to help protect financial aid for all PLU students. We will be opening sign-ups during our Election Day tabling.
