Attention Undergraduates! The Guatemala GeoHazards IRES program is now accepting online applications.

Students will travel with faculty mentors to Guatemala from Dec. 29, 2022-January 19, 2023 to conduct field research in volcanology, paleoseismology, and surficial processes. Participants will reconvene at UMKC in Kansas City during May 14-28, 2023 to analyze lab samples and synthesize the research for a program poster session. All travel and room/board is covered by the program and a student stipend is provided. Spanish-speaking students, veterans, women, and students from under-represented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.

The application deadline is Friday, September 23, 2022.
