Two students killed in car accident

On the evening of April 25, PLU students Jocelyn Denham and Brady Freeman were killed in an automobile accident near Brewster, Wash. Brady’s twin brother, Boone, a student at the University of Puget Sound, was injured in the crash.

Members of the campus community gathered throughout the weekend to remember their friends and to offer one another mutual support.

The lives of Denham and Freeman were remembered and celebrated on Sunday, May 11 in Lagerquist Concert Hall. Both families were present for the service. A reception was held in the lobby of Mary Baker Russell Music Center, where members of the PLU community were able to greet the families.

Customary resources were available to members of the campus community in need of counseling support. For more information, visit the Counseling Center’s Web site.
