In 2026, the Choir of the West will celebrate our rich tradition—100 years of outstanding choral music! Reconnect with conductors, and enjoy social gatherings, shared singing, a celebratory banquet, and the opportunity to perform together once again in the Centennial Celebration Concert.
Events will begin on Friday, October 23 at 5:30pm, and conclude by 4pm on Sunday, October 25. We hope you can join us!

Centennial Kickoff & Welcome Social | 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Catch up with old friends and pick up your registration materials as we begin our 100-year celebration. This reception is for Choir of the West alumni only (no family or friends) before heading over to Lagerquist Concert Hall. Heavy appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks will be available. Centennial Choir Rehearsal I | 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
The first full gathering of the Centennial Choir as we begin blending our voices across the generations.

Era Reunion Sings & Social Connections | 10:40 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
These sessions are a special opportunity for alumni to gather as a specific era to sing together under their director, or an alum from their era. This time is for the joy of reconnecting through our shared sound and is separate from the Centennial Concert preparation. When your era is not scheduled for an era sing, please join fellow alumni in your designated Era Social Room for refreshments and connection. Era Social Room locations will be published closer to the event.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where will the rehearsals and performance be held?
All rehearsals and the performance will be held in Lagerquist Concert Hall. We will design the standing arrangement and configuration to accommodate everyone who wishes to perform in the Combined Choir.
How can the event still sell out?
We will accommodate everyone who wishes to sing and registers before the September 15 deadline. The banquet, however, may sell out before that date. The banquet will be in Olson Gymnasium & Auditorium, the largest venue on campus to host such an event. We are setting up the space for maximum capacity, but the dinner event might still sell out. If you are on the wait list and wish to attend, please register as soon as possible.
What is the difference between the "Era Sing" and the "Combined Choir"?
The “Era Sing” is a time designated for each era to gather together and sing as a group. The “Combined Choir” is multigenerational, spanning all eras, and celebrates the full, rich history of the Choir of the West.
Who is conducting the Combined Choir?
The combined choir performance will be conducted by Richard Sparks, Richard Nance, and Brian Galante.
Who is conducting the "Era Sing"?
The leader for the Malmin Era Sing is still being determined. The Skones Era Sing will be led by Randy Spitzer and Richard Nace. The Sparks Era Sing will be led by Richard Sparks. The Lehmann Era Sing will be led by Kathryn Lehmann. The Nance and Galante Eras are combined, and will be led jointly by Richard Nance and Brian Galante.

Music will be distributed electronically shortly after the registration deadline. PDFs will be provided in a Google Drive folder. You can also request a paper copy of the repertoire, which will be available for pick up when you check in for the reunion weekend. We will also provide part-predominant rehearsal tracks to assist with preparation before the event.
The repertoire for each Era Sing will be distributed during that session.
