For ELMSN students beginning Summer 2025, the tuition cost for the 93-credit ELMSN program cost is $90,800, and will take 27 months to complete. Tuition costs for PLU’s MSN programs are based on a cohort model. You must complete the program with your cohort to remain eligible for cohort pricing, and choose an area of specialization: Certified Nurse EducatorⓇ or Clinical Nurse LeaderⓇ.

BSN to Master of Science in Nursing
2025-26 Program Cost

For BSN-MSN students beginning Fall 2025, the 37-credit MSN tuition cost is $42,920, and will take 12 months to complete. Tuition costs for PLU’s MSN programs are based on a cohort model. You must complete the program with your cohort to remain eligible for cohort pricing, and choose an area of specialization: Certified Nurse EducatorⓇ or Clinical Nurse LeaderⓇ.

The $5,000 PLU Alumni Scholarship is a one-time scholarship automatically awarded in the first term of the program to graduate students who also earned their bachelor’s degree from PLU. (Restrictions apply to those students who are also PLU staff, and international scholarship recipients.)
Applicants who are not PLU alumni are automatically considered for this one-time merit scholarship, which, if awarded, will be applied to the first term of the program.
The International Grant is awarded to degree-seeking international students who do not qualify for the Nordic Grant. $7,000 is awarded for the first year of the program and $3,500 awarded for the second year (only for 2-year program options). (If awarded the International Grant, applicants are not eligible to receive PLU Alumni or Graduate Academic Scholarships.)
The Graduate Scholarship (GRD) through the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship provides valuable financial aid for students pursuing advanced degrees as nurse practitioners. The scholarship aims to increase the number of advanced degree health professionals providing health care in medically underserved areas. The GRD Scholarship award value is up to $25,000 over three years.
The application typically opens in late March, with a deadline in mid-May.
The Health Professional Scholarship Program (HPSP) provides financial assistance to students receiving education or training in a direct or indirect health-care services discipline (Title 38 and Hybrid Title 38 occupations); and assists in providing an adequate supply of such personnel for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). HPSP helps the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) meet its need for qualified health care professionals for which recruitment or retention is difficult.
