Pacific Lutheran University welcomes all visitors to our campus and offers free visitor parking passes to friends, family, guests and prospective students.  Due to the limited parking in and around the PLU campus, parking regulations are strictly enforced. We, therefore, request all visitors stop by the Campus Safety office to obtain a pass before continuing with their visit.

Visitors may park in one of three reserved 15 minute spaces on the west side of Mortvedt Library lot while they obtain a day pass from CSAF.   Once a day pass is obtained, visitors can return to their car, place the pass on their dash and proceed to find an appropriate parking space in any non-gated PLU lot that does not have a sign otherwise reserving it (i.e., carpool, handicap spaces, reserved spaces, etc.)  No PLU lot is specifically designated as a “visitor” parking lot but rather all lots are open to visitors and they require a pass to park in them.

If you receive a PLU parking ticket while visiting, we ask that you bring it back to the CSAF office with your name, address and phone number clearly printed on the back of the ticket.

Per Residential Life, overnight guests are limited to stays of no more than 7 days a month and 4 days in a row.  Campus Safety’s guest parking pass procedures reflect this policy.

The Campus Safety office is located on the ground floor of PLU’s oldest building, Harstad Hall. Our office entrance is on the north side of Harstad (facing the library) and is most easily accessed from Park Ave.

From Hwy. 512 (heading east or west), take the Pacific Ave. exit southbound.  Following Pacific Ave. (heading south), turn right (west) onto Garfield St. S.  Follow Garfield to Park Ave. (about 3 blocks).  At the “T” with Park Ave., turn right onto Park Ave.  Go 1 block and turn right onto Wheeler St. S.  The entrance to the Mortvedt Library lot (the only entrance to the lot) can be accessed about ½ block down to the right.  Upon entering the lot, take an immediate right and follow it to the three marked 15 minute parking spaces located on the west side of the library lot parallel to Park Ave.
