PLU 50th Reunion for the Class of 1976

Can you believe it’s been 50 years since you graduated from Pacific Lutheran University? Plenty of time to mature a bit, build careers, raise families, lose your student ID, find your AARP card and develop stiff joints.

We’re thrilled to invite you back to campus for a Half Century (!) Class Reunion on Saturday, October 4, 2025. It’ll be a day of reconnecting with classmates you may not have seen since bell bottoms and ultra-short skirts were in style… the first time.

Whether you spent your college years in Tingelstad, Harstad, or Stuen….in practice rooms, study groups, science labs, Mortvedt, art barn … in the gym or on the golf course, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to come back and celebrate with the people who shared that time of life. Perhaps you can even convince others?

Below is the link to register and a link for lodging options at a discounted rate. Until then, dust off your SAGA (you know, yearbook), practice your handshake and hug and get ready to laugh and connect. Oh yes, we’ll have name tags just in case it’s helpful.

Reunion Events

Friday, October 9

  • Class of 1976 Campus Tour: Join your classmates to get a tour of campus. Some things have probably changed! 3-4pm meet by the clock tower.
  • Class of 1976 Informal Gathering: A non-hosted gathering at Farrelli’s Pizza on Garfield Street in Parkland. Connect with your classmates and kick-off the reunion festivities! 4-6pm

Saturday, October 10

  • Golden Club Brunch: Enjoy a complimentary brunch for alumni in the class of 1976 and earlier. University Leadership will be joining to connect and offer campus updates. 9:30-11:00 am in Regency Room, Anderson University Center (AUC) Free – must register
  • Football game: Wear your black and gold and cheer on the Lutes as they take on UPS! 1pm, Sparks Stadium
  • 50th Reunion Dinner: Join your classmates from the Class of 1976 as we celebrate your 50th reunion since graduating from PLU! This special evening is planned by your reunion committee and promises to be a night filled with good food and drinks, reconnections with good friends, and a chance to reminisce about your time on campus and get a glimpse of the current student experience. 5-8pm Scandinavian Cultural Center, AUC $50

We are excited to celebrate the Class of 1976’s 50th anniversary, and we want to hear your story. How do you remember your time at PLU? From the classes you took to the events you attended, we want to hear about PLU from your perspective.

All oral histories will be recorded and made available though the PLU Archives. Please make an appointment here to meet while you are on campus for your reunion.
