The Office of Institutional Effectiveness
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness establishes the infrastructure necessary to monitor and track our achievement of mission fulfillment. The work of the office will drive a systematic and sustained institutional commitment toward developing a culture of constructive, self-reflective monitoring and evaluation. This culture of monitoring and evaluation reflects our commitments as a learning community, where mutual accountability and sustainable stewardship are valued, and it acknowledges our obligation to equitably serve in the best interests of constituents.
Focus Areas
Area 1: Intentionally integrate the accountability (accreditation), direction (planning), and evidence and improvement (assessment, evaluation, and institutional research) functions into an overall model for enhanced organizational effectiveness in support of mission fulfillment.
Area 2: Coordinate the University’s Efforts on Accreditation and Assessment of Student Outcomes to ensure the university is in compliance with NWCCU accreditation standards.
Area 3: Ensure the effective utilization and communication of data and information as they relate to student success, quality assurance and mission fulfillment.
Essential Functions
✔ Support the strategic function of University Leadership and the Board of Regents, including the active monitoring of, and reporting on,, strategic initiatives.
✔ Leverage the work of accreditation and assessment to build an integrated network of learning and evaluation across departments and divisions.
✔ Support data informed decision making and community engagement with data for the purposes of inquiry, discernment, and accountability.
✔ Increase efficiencies and capacity for data understanding and usage in all sectors and at all levels of the university.
✔ Oversee all aspects of regional (NWCCU) accreditation including Annual Reports, cyclical reports and visits and substantive change documentation.
✔ Ensure the effective utilization and communication of data and information as they relate to student success, quality assurance and mission fulfillment.
