. Was there a particularly memorable project or professor from the past four years? I’ve taken many upper-level Hispanic Studies classes with Dr. Giovanna Urdangarain. Dr. Urdangarain is from Uruguay and started a project with Dr. Rona Kaufman interviewing the residents of a Jewish nursing home in Montevideo, their caregivers and loved ones. As Off-Campus Senator, my responsibility is to listen to the voices of the commuter student body and represent them in meetings, factoring into account their well-being and needs on campus so that they can succeed and benefit from the changes we make at PLU.
Research Assistant in the Psych department and have been a student employee in Catering. I’m hoping to help feel more confident in their abilities to secure opportunities on campus, like club involvement, employment, research, and make college life more accessible to all students, especially as a commuter.
