Biography
Dr. Ramtahal has more than a decade and a half of experience teaching reproductive healthcare through Planned Parenthood, elementary through high school districts, universities, and community-based organizations. Her work emphasizes evidence-based education, trauma-informed care, health equity, and person-centered approaches that promote bodily autonomy and reduce harm.
As a former consultant with a Forensic Nurse Examiner Program, Dr. Ramtahal helped registered nurses provide compassionate care to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and abuse. Her clinical experience includes serving underserved, rural, and Native American communities across multiple states in hospital and community settings. She also practices as an out-of-hospital Field RN, continuing to expand her primary care expertise while serving diverse populations.
