Biography
Beakie Colón Rivera is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and Substance Use Disorder Professional with more than a decade of experience in behavioral health, clinical supervision, and program administration. She currently serves as Case Management Supervisor at Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, Washington, where she oversees social work services, develops specialized programming, and provides direct clinical care.
Her career spans leadership roles in community mental health and integrated care, including serving as Co-Occurring Disorder Behavioral Health Director at Consejo Counseling and Referral Services, where she standardized evidence-based practices across multiple sites and trained staff in trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and diagnostic assessment.
Dedicated to education and mentorship, Mrs. Colón Rivera has supervised graduate-level social work interns from numerous universities nationwide and emphasizes experiential learning, cultural humility, and trauma-informed practice in the classroom. Fluent in English and Spanish, she brings a strong commitment to culturally responsive care.
She holds a Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Children and Families and Substance Abuse from Fayetteville State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from William Peace University
