International Scholarships & Grants: Aid for Study in the USA
PLU is pleased to provide the following scholarship opportunities for International undergraduate students (effective Fall 2026):
Eligibility: International students, both First Year and Transfer. Students may be residing overseas or already attending a U.S. high school or college.
Amount: $8,000 – $32,000 per year
Application: Not required
Eligibility: International students from the following countries:

- Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland) plus 32 credits (Sophomore standing)
- Japan
- Kyrgyzstan
- Mongolia
- Philippines
- South Korea
- Vietnam
Amount: $2,000 (renewable)
Application: Not required
International students are also eligible for the following stackable scholarships:
Eligibility: High school seniors who have demonstrated significant leadership and service based on the activities section of the Common App or the supplement provided to them after completing the Automatic Admission or Niche Direct Admission Acceptance Form, and have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.8 (weighted).
Amount: Variable. These awards will be in addition to any merit scholarships students receive.
Awarding: Students selected for Presidential Scholarships will be notified by early February.
Application: Must complete PLU application by December 1st (Fall entry only). No additional application materials needed for Common App applicants. A supplement outlining leadership and service during high school will be needed for students using the Automatic Admission or Niche Direct Admission acceptance form.
Eligibility: International undergraduate students who live in campus housing.
Amount: $2,500 each year the student lives on campus.
Application: Housing application submitted after the student has been admitted and paid their enrollment deposit.
Eligibility: Students who have attended an official Admission-sponsored on-campus visit.
Amount: $1,000 per year
Application: None. The Visit Scholarship will be automatically awarded.
Eligibility: Exceptional ability in the fields of art & design, dance, media, music, and theatre (acting & technical). Students are eligible to apply and audition for awards in multiple fields.
Amount: $1,000 – $7,500 per year (renewable)
Application: Required
