International Scholarships & Grants: Aid for Study in the USA

PLU is pleased to provide the following scholarship opportunities for International undergraduate students (effective Fall 2025):

 

International Grants

Eligibility: International students, both First Year and Transfer. Students may be residing overseas or already attending a U.S. high school or college.
Amount: $37,500 (renewable)
Application: Not required

 

Nordic Grants

Eligibility: International students from Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland)
Amount: $37,500 (renewable) plus 32 credits (Sophomore standing)
Application: Not required

 

Housing Grant

Eligibility: International undergraduate students who live in campus housing
Amount: $2,500 each year the student lives on campus
Application: Housing application submitted after the student has been admitted and paid their enrollment deposit.

 

First-Year Scholarships (President’s, Harstad Founder’s, and Regents’ Scholarships)

Eligibility: High school seniors who have demonstrative significant leadership and service, and have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.8 (weighted).
Amount: Up to full tuition
Application: Must complete PLU application by December 1st (Fall entry only) and submit Presidential Scholarships application.

Artistic Achievement Awards

Eligibility: Exceptional ability in the fields of studio art, media & design, dance, theatre, and music.
Amount: $1,000 – $7,500 per year (renewable)
