MultiCare Internship – A Day in the Life Vlog
Helping people + gaining real-world experience? That’s how Lutes do it.
Follow Mason Taylor-Wells ’27 through a day in his life as a rehab aide at Tacoma General Hospital. “I’ve had patients cry tears of joy because they’re able to stand (with some help) again. I can’t think of a better way to spend my summer.”
A biology major on the pre-med track, Mason spent his summer helping patients take their first steps after strokes, surgeries, and other major medical events. From cleaning equipment to supporting physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions, Mason’s internship gave him hands-on experience and confirmed his dream of becoming a doctor. Watch the vlog to see how Lutes like Mason are turning internship experiences into future careers in healthcare.
