PLU Office of Graduate Admission and Alumni & Student Connections are pleased to present Graduate Programs Fair for 2019 to allow students to explore different graduate program paths, and attend workshops to prepare for the next steps.

Activities include a Hot Cocoa Social and two Lunch & Learn workshops. All sessions are open to PLU students, employees, alumni, and the community.  Continue below to see the details and registration for each event.

Hot Cocoa Social - What to Study?

Wednesday, November 6, 11:30am – 1:30pm, AUC Grey Area

Explore graduate program pathways in business, education, health services, and learn how a graduate degree will enhance career prospects and optimize opportunities. Come to chat with a graduate program advisor while enjoying a complimentary hot cocoa!

Reserve your spot now! Fill out the registration form, select a graduate program of your interest, and pick a 15-minute time slot between 11:30am to 1:30pm.

Lunch Workshops - How to Start?

Wednesday, November 6, 11:30am and 12:30pm, Room 201

Learn about tools and strategies for applying to graduate school and how to decide if it is the right choice for you, and how to write a personal statement.  Lunch will be provided.  Two sessions are offered: “Is Graduate School My Next Step?” and “Telling Your Story in a Personal Statement“.  See below for the details of each session.

Reserve your spot for Lunch and Learn now!  For students and alumni, log into the Opportunities Board and select ‘Workshops’ under “Events” on the main menu.  Employees please fill out the online RSVP form.

During this workshop we will discuss the process of identifying graduate programs of interest and how to evaluate if they align with your goals. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the overall steps involved in finding graduate program opportunities.

12:30pm – 1:15pm, AUC Room 201
This workshop will review the in’s and out’s of creating your personal statement for graduate school. Participants will leave with a stronger idea of how to craft a compelling personal statement that will make their application stand out!
