How Can We Help?
We recognize that college presents a wide range of challenges. College is a time for personal growth, learning, and self-knowledge, but it isn’t always easy. Some students need a place to develop coping skills for social, academic, and personal growth. Other students face more complex problems like anxiety, depression, and similar concerns.
Our experienced team of counselors is well prepared to help you make the most of your educational experience. All services are provided at no charge and are available for PLU students who are currently enrolled in classes. We also extend emotional support for undocumented students, as well as those students impacted by undocumented family or friends.
Wait Times and Availability
Beginning May 9 through the summer, the front desk will be closed indefinitely due to staffing changes and in preparation of office relocation on campus. We are unable to schedule new appointments for the remainder of the semester. Current clients may email their counselor for assistance, if needed.
- During our closure, enrolled PLU students should use TimelyCare virtual services. Immediate connection to a counselor is always available 24/7/365 via TimelyCare when using the “Talk Now” feature, and scheduled counseling can often be arranged most quickly through TimelyCare services. PLU students have access to 12 free Scheduled sessions through TimelyCare virtual services, and “Talk Now” is unlimited.
- For assistance with finding outside or long-term services in the community, please use our ThrivingCampus online referral tool or contact a WSR Health Navigator.
- Urgent issues or additional assistance needed during our closure may be referred to the PLU Dean of Students.
*Although we are not affiliated with the Couple and Family Therapy Center, a community resource near PLU, we do collaborate and give referrals to the CFT Center.
