BSN pathway to the MSN

Pathway: The BSN to MSN degree allows students with a BSN degree to focus on a concentration in nurse leadership or nursing education in a continually changing healthcare environment.

The core MSN curriculum prepares the student with the knowledge and skills required of all masters‐prepared nurses as determined by the AACN Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education (2021).

Two areas of role specialization are available:

Certified Nurse Educator (CNE®)
Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL®)

A limited cohort is admitted to the MSN program each year, and admission is competitive.
