The CAPP Report

The CAPP Report (Curriculum, Advising, and Program Planning) is an online resource available in Banner Self-Service that allows undergraduate students and their advisors to monitor progress toward degree completion at PLU. These reports are updated periodically by the Registrar’s Office or by students and advisors any time they choose by using the ‘Generate New Report’ function. Also featured is a “What-If Analysis” function that allows students to explore how their classes fit the requirements of any program the university offers. It is each student’s responsibility to check their CAPP Report throughout the semester, in particular during the time leading up to advising meetings and registration.

The ‘Generate New Report’ function updates the CAPP report with your most current information (registration, grades, etc.). To ‘Generate New Report’ click the link at the bottom of your CAPP report.
  • The CAPP report allows you to explore how your classes fit into different academic programs (majors, minors, and concentrations).  To create CAPP reports with different academic programs use the ‘What-If Analysis.’ To use the ‘What-If Analysis’ click the link at the bottom of your CAPP report.
  • CAPP reports are intended to be viewable online by you and your advisor and are much more readable online than in printed form.
  • Color-coding is used for various texts. Red indicates requirements that have not yet been met. Green indicates general informational text. Blue indicates a link to further information located on the PLU website.
  • The CAPP report includes all completed transfer classes for which the Registrar’s Office has received an official transcript (including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate transcripts), and all classes for which a student is currently registered.
  • The CAPP report assumes successful completion of all registered classes in determining if a requirement has been met. Changes to your class schedule and/or unsuccessful completion of a course may change the status of a requirement to ‘Not Met.’
