DIRECT ADMISSION TO EDUCATION

The School of Education offers direct admission for the Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAE), Bachelor of Arts in Music Education (BME), and Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology (BAK) Health/Fitness Certification programs.

The PLU Education program does not require a separate application for our teacher certification programs. Your application to PLU is also your application for direct admission to Education. When you apply to PLU (it’s free to apply), list the teacher program that interests you most as your intended major:

  • Elementary Education (K-8)
  • Music Education (K-12)
  • Kinesiology: Health/Fitness Certification (PE, K-12)
  • Interested in teaching high school? We recommend you major in your area of interest, then earn your teaching certification as part of the PLU Master’s program. This 4+1 option is available at PLU for most subjects.
