Biography

Kelsey grew up in Olympia, WA, attended college and nursing school in Portland, OR and currently lives in University Place, WA. She is a true PNW person and loves it here. She has been a nurse since 2012 and has experience working in MedSurg, Oncology, and OB. She received her MSN in nursing education and has always loved teaching and mentoring new and student nurses. Kelsey’s special interests in the field include palliative care, healthcare advocacy, team building and leadership. Kelsey also works as a Parent Champion for a non-profit organization called Courageous Parents Network advocating for palliative-minded care and helping families caring for children with complex needs.

Outside of nursing, Kelsey loves spending time with her family and dog, cooking, and the ocean. She spends time working with student leadership with the Association of Washington Student Leadership and volunteering with the PTA in her daughter’s school district.
