Audrey Johnson, Therapist in Training
Hello and welcome! My name is Audrey (she/her), and I am currently working toward my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy here at Pacific Lutheran University. I earned my B.A. in Psychology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. As a therapist-in-training, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where people can explore their personal experiences and express themselves authentically. I believe that genuine human connection is essential to our well-being and will serve as the foundation of our work together.
My approach is systemic and collaborative, drawing from a variety of modalities that can be tailored to your unique needs and background. Through a systemic lens, we can explore your various relationship dynamics within the broader context of social experiences and the communities you engage with. I am committed to bringing a warm and empathetic presence to your therapy journey.
I am excited to work with individuals, partners, and families from all backgrounds. I am particularly passionate about supporting members of the BIPOC community, families with adoptees, and all folks who hold marginalized identities.
In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, exploring new coffee shops, and spending time out in nature. Having grown up in Tacoma, WA, I especially love walking along the waterfront while listening to music. It would be an honor to work with you!
