Jenna Somera, Therapist in Training
Hi there! My name is Jenna (she/her) and I am currently in the Marriage and Family program at the Pacific Lutheran University working towards my masters degree! I was born and raised in Washington state and earned my bachelors degree in psychology at the University of Washington. While I explore this journey of being a therapist, I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment while prioritizing individuality and diversity. I use a collaborative and systemic approach in my style, making sure to work with you as a team and utilizing different modalities tailored to your needs and personal lived experiences.
I value empathy, nonjudgment, teamwork, and a warm space for you to enter and start this journey of self-work! I am looking forward to working with all groups of people, specifically new moms, the BIPOC community, families of divorce, and any and all marginalized identities.
In my free time I LOVE hiking, journaling, hanging out with friends and loved ones, and going on walks. I also love listening to music, as it’s one of the things that I think helps us connect across cultures, differences, language barriers, etc. I absolutely love connecting with others, since one of my core beliefs is human connection is something we all need in our lives!
